About Me

I grew up in a family where my parents worked tirelessly at their small business 80 hours every week. Their sheer work ethic was my early model of how to be successful. After my poor play in my first ever junior golf tournament, I began taking golf seriously at the age of twelve.

Most days, I would be the first one at the course and the last one to leave; coming home exhausted and falling asleep almost instantly.

I took pride in that.

I absolutely fell in love with the process of getting better. Through golf, I realized what the power of a strong work ethic can do in terms of reaching success.

With the support of family, friends, and coaches I have proved to be successful in each stage from junior golf to professional. I tied for first at an AJGA Tournament in the Bob Estes Abilene Junior and won several other junior tournaments.

College
I went on to play college golf at the University of Oklahoma. While there, I notched several top 10’s, won a tournament by 7 strokes in Puerto Rico in 2016, received All-Big XII Honors in 2017 and All-American honors in 2012. I was part of the first group of Sooners in program history that made it to the match-play portion of the NCAA National Championships in 2016.

I played and traveled on a National Championship winning caliber team, graduating from OU one year before our Sooners won the National Championships in 2017.

Upon graduation, I played five months of professional golf in 2016.

During those months I saw that my game can also compete in the professional arena as well, posting scores in the 60s twelve times out of the 31 rounds during those 5 months. I averaged 70.32 strokes, along with shooting a bogey-free 64 in the second round at the Waterloo Open and a T-15 finish in the Texas State Open. All while in the back of my head, I knew I had a huge roadblock ahead of me

My visa to stay in the US was running out. And my one shot at getting an athlete visa was later that year at the Korn Ferry Tour Q School.

After getting through pre-qual, I unfortunately couldn’t handle the immense pressure I put myself under and life circumstances and I missed getting through First Stage Q school.

For the next year (2017) I had no idea what to do. Not only did I have what seemed like an unsolvable problem (my visa situation) but I was also running out of money. I began working as a forecaddy in Dallas to make money but that took time away from me practicing or playing tournaments. Something had to give.

At this point, my dreams of playing pro golf started to feel childish.

I started to cave in and slowly began giving up golf. All while seeing my former teammates at OU succeed on the Korn Ferry Tour, PGA Tour, and PGA Tour China.

Feeling like I was on the wrong path, I randomly came across someone making videos on Youtube and began seeing the opportunity the platform brought.

The idea to start a Youtube channel during a time where I was in such a deep hole sounded absolutely ridiculous to me but I had 10 months left in the US and this was my final shot at making something possible.

For the first time, instead of having my situation haunt me, I decided to tackle it head first. 

In late 2018 I left the US with basically no means of coming back.

Unless I finish top 10 on the money list on PGATOUR China. This would get me status on Korn Ferry Tour, earning my way back into the US.

I went on to win the 5th event on PGATOUR China and finished 5th on the season money list, earning my way back home.
